Many Americans still feel this is important for personal safety and in case
they need to revolt against their own
government, They argue that the Minutemen and the local militias only won the
fight for Independence beacause they had firearms.

If you were to present your nation's history in the same way as above, which
events would you choose? Why?

1. Yes,
I think they had good reasons to declare independence because they should not
have to pay taxes for King George III because the war had been expensive for
him.
2. One country should not be able to colonize another if the country is
doing fine. If a country are falling apart they maybe need that another country
comes in to take control to help them.
3. I think that many Americans feel that they need to protect their selves,
their families and loved ones by having a gun because of the school shootings
and other episodes where innocents has been killed for no reasons by peoples
with guns. I can understand that. In America crimes and shootings happens more
often than here in Norway or here in Scandinavia. If you envision the amount of
people who are like mental ill and kills someone here you can imagine how many
more there are in America. Not everyone should have the rights to bear arms,
but I think it is impossible to keep the guns away from the people who should
not be able to bear them.
